Powers of attorney

Your will does nothing while you're alive. These do.

A stroke, an accident, dementia — statistically more likely than early death, and a will is useless for all of it. The incapacity documents decide who runs your finances and who makes your medical decisions if you cannot. We include both with every will.

Both major Canadian competitors sell these on their $199 tier. Ours are in the $15 price, because a plan that only works if you die on schedule is not a plan.

Health and personal care

Consents to treatment, chooses where you live, carries your end-of-life wishes — with your preferences on pain management and life-prolonging treatment recorded in the document itself. Ontario's POA for Personal Care, BC's Representation Agreement, Alberta's Personal Directive.
